Talks: 30-minute talks are allocated around 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A. For shorter talks, please also allow a few minutes for follow-up questions.
Lightning Talks: Lightning Talks are allocated 5–15 minutes, including technical setups. Q&A only if time allows.
BYOD: Please bring your own laptop for your presentation. You can use any presentation format you prefer (PowerPoint, PDF, Google Slides), however, offline formats are recommended. In case you cannot bring a device, you can use the device on-site (Windows laptop), please bring a USB stick with your PDF presentation in this case.
16:9: We recommend using 16:9 aspect ratio for your slides, although 4:3 will also be possible.
Slides: Please upload your presentation slides to your talk on semantic-mediawiki.org. You can do so before or after your presentation. You do not need to submit your presentation to us beforehand.
Microphone: The presentation desk has a fixed microphone, so presenters usually stand in front of their laptops during the presentation.
HDMI: Connect via HDMI to the projector, please bring your own adapter. VGA is also possible, though not recommended.
Audio: If you need to present with audio, please make sure your device has a standard audio jack (3.5 mm standard for headphones). Audio via HDMI is not supported.
Live demos: You can show online content live, please be aware we do our best but cannot guarantee a fast and stable connection.
Our team will be available on the day to assist with any technical questions.
Consent for Recording: The event will be live-streamed via YouTube. By agreeing to speak, you consent to being recorded. Recordings will be available on the YouTube channel post-event.
A link will be provided to all speakers and attendees closer to the date.

Zoom: You can join the session via Zoom. The Zoom link will stay the same for the entire day.
Timing: Your allocated time slot includes ~5′ Q&A after your presentation. Please plan to join Zoom 5-10 minutes before the session start time.
Timezone: The time zone displayed in the schedule is Vienna GMT+1 (CEST). Austria is currently observing Daylight Saving Time (DST).
Audio: Even more important than good video quality is good audio: Please test your audio equipment beforehand. Preferably choose an external microphone over your internal laptop microphone, also to prevent audio feedback.
